Another week, another number one team. I never had Oklahoma anywhere near number one, I just didn't think they were that good this year, and Missouri showed why. Missouri, on the other hand, is looking pretty dang good. Good offense, really good defense. If they can get by Nebraska on Saturday, they should run the table. Overall, I don't think there are anything near the top is clear cut, there are question marks with all the teams.

How I arrive at my top 25 results:
I analyze the season results of each team under top 25 consideration each week, and start to rank teams without looking at any other polls, including mine from the previous week (although I do look at mine and the AP/Coaches before finishing to see if I forgot anything). For example if I have team A ranked at 15, team B at 20, and team B beat team A by 20 points a couple weeks before, I re-evaluate things. Then I simply check to see if it all makes sense based on head-to-heads, common opponents, etc.
The bottom line, though, is this: Who do I think would win in a neutral site match-up between teams? If I think one team would beat another, the team I think will win will be higher in my rankings. You won't find that in most polls.
